Welcome to Zedtown. You’re a human – and your only goal is to survive the zombie apocalypse. This 4-hour event is an immersive game coming to Adelaide on Saturday 7 October 2017 as part of Hybrid World Adelaide.

Hybrid World Adelaide is a mega event from 4 – 8 October 2017, which explores how the real and digital worlds are intertwined. We’re excited to be a media partner with Hybrid World Adelaide to highlight this digital technology event. There’s something for everyone with a number of public events as well as an industry conference. All ages – and all levels of digital skills – are welcomed.

Do you think you could survive a zombie apocalypse? Test yourself, load up with dart blasters, form alliances and survive in Zedtown: The Divided City. This 18+ event is coming to Adelaide on Saturday 7 October.

Zombies are as much a part of sci-fi as dystopian post-apocalyptic futures. If the zombies are due to an infectious virus, you can go down the route of vaccination and good ol’ trusty science. If it’s more fantasy and supernatural with zombies popping out of graves, you could whip out an ancient spellbook that reverses the curse.

Everyone has their method and preferred weapon of choice for killing zombies too. You could say there’s a science to it. Just remember to always double tap.

Welcome to Zedtown

Zedtown is an immersive game of Survivors vs Zombies where hundreds of players, armed with only their Nerf-blasters, battle to make it to the final stand in a post-apocalypse-themed adventure.

On Saturday the 7th of October, The University of Adelaide‘s North Terrace Campus will be transformed into a divided city where human survivors (the players), take up dart blasters and battle against infected zombies. Everyone starts as a Survivor and each player works with their squad to make it to the final stand. When you’re tagged by a Zombie, you become one, too, and there’s only one thing you want: Hunt the most braaaaains. Players hold out for as long as they can using ingenuity, clever tactics and clues via Zedtown’s smartphone app in a desperate bid to stay human and escape Hybrid World Adelaide’s Zedtown: The Divided City.

Grab your friends and face the apocalypse together!

This is sooooo rad. I recently grinded out a Dirt Guru Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse after daydreaming about joust style zombie deaths delivered via dirt bike. Don't think there's a nerf version of that though ;^) https://dirt.guru/dirt-guru-gear-guide-surviving-zombie-apocalypse/ Dirt Guru

Science and technology is as much a part of our cultural fabric as art, music, theatre and literature. They play a significant role in our daily lives, yet, in a world dependent on science, we often take them for granted. Australia’s Science Channel believes every citizen has a right, and a responsibility, to be informed, and our mission is to create programs to bring that about.
