ECR Network - Why Every Scientist Should Be on Twitter - The Benefits

Last updated December 11, 2017 at 9:41 am

Online personality Noby Leong is joined by Australia’s Science Channel social media guru Kelly Wong and Macquarie University data scientist Adam Dunn to reveal how social media can help your research career and open up new opportunities you never knew existed.

From the ways that scientists can use social media to boost their career, to how to build your profile and audience to amplify your research message, they share stories from their considerable experience online.

This event was held on Tuesday 10 October.

See Part 2: The Fears HERE. In it, Noby, Kelly and Adam discuss what happens when it all goes wrong, and how to avoid it.

Science and technology is as much a part of our cultural fabric as art, music, theatre and literature. They play a significant role in our daily lives, yet, in a world dependent on science, we often take them for granted. Australia’s Science Channel believes every citizen has a right, and a responsibility, to be informed, and our mission is to create programs to bring that about.
