By analysing algae on the surface of the ocean, scientists from the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies at the University of Tasmania have figured out how to model and predict biodiversity on the Antarctic seafloor.

In this video, hear from PhD candidate Jan Jansen about how the modelling process works, and check out some awesome deep sea creatures.
