Luke Davies and Kate Harborne delve deeper into the story of zero. Did the Catholic Church really try to ban it? They get to the bottom of the story and attempt to find out what nothing is.

They then turn their attention to the mysterious story of the disappearing star. Korean astronomers discovered a brand new star in the 15th century, only to find it had disappeared just 2 weeks later. Now astronomers are tracking this star’s appearance and disappearance through history to crack the case.

Join them as they pull apart the stories over a cuppa.

I am a scientist with the International Centre for Radioastronomy Research (ICRAR), where I study how galaxies have changed from the Big Bang to the present day. Every day I aim to answer key questions about the Universe such as, how did the first groups of stars come together to form galaxies, how do galaxies change as the Universe expands over time and how do we eventually form galaxies like our own Milky Way?
